Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has reversed Mayawati government’s decision of providing reservation to Schedule Caste (SC) officers in promotion in government jobs.

Allahabad High Court had earlier set aside Mayawati’s decision. Mayawati government had approached the Supreme Court against the High Court order. The UP government on Tuesday issued a statement that it stands with the High Court’s order.
